Africa Rebirth

Africa Rebirth is an online platform that offers content that seeks to shed light on untold African history. It is often said that the biggest secret about Africa is its history – and sadly so.

Africa Rebirth seeks to change the narrative by uncovering and sharing the truth about African history, especially as it concerns the African continent before colonial times and the sacrifices/achievements of unsung African heroes during the pre-colonial and slavery era. Further, we seek to tell the stories of African countries as they went through the colonial era, and then fought to gain their independence from colonialists. We also tell stories about the post-independence period, as African countries struggled to establish stable governments and get on a path of economic growth.

Additionally, the platform aims to cover current news of African culture – for example, major cultural events, instances where a cultural practice is connected to a current event, or when an aspect of African culture becomes a subject of current debate both in Africa and around the world. Under this umbrella, we also seek to celebrate African cultural icons - such as entertainers, artists, and their work.
